Snowshoeing tour in Pyhä

Learn to snowshoe in Pyhätunturi area. Access the untouched snow to experience the beautiful arctic wilderness and enjoy complimentary hot beverages and a light lunch by campfire during the tour 

On this tour we will access the snowy wilderness with snowshoes wander in a relatively easy terrain around the Pyhätunturi Area. We will use modern lightweight TSL snowshoes which have adjustable bindings that fit to most winter or hiking boots. The tour takes 3 hours and includes a light lunch accompanied with hot beverages to keep you warm and energized during the tour. 

Earlier experience with snowshoes is not needed

Meeting

The activity is organized in Pyhätunturi area and the meeting point is in the parking lot in front of Naava visitor center from where we will begin our tour. Find Pyhä-Luosto Visitor Centre Naava at address Luontotie 1, 98530 Pelkosenniemi. Your guide will wait you there with the gear.

What to wear?

Suitable clothing for winter weather. You should be able to move around and do light exercise with ease in your clothes. Use warm boots, hat and gloves. You can bring a back pack with additional layer (down jacket etc.) to use during a break.
