Experience the soul of Kosovo with a journey to Prizren, a city that captures hearts with its unique charm and rich layers of history. Here, ancient times blend naturally with medieval influences, the Ottoman era, and the complex past of the Balkans. Spread along the peaceful Lumbardhi River and watched over by its hilltop fortress, Prizren is a place where different cultures and religions have lived side by side for centuries.
The day begins at 7:00 AM with pickup from your hotel, heading toward the Morina border. On the way, you’ll notice how rural Albania still reflects the traces of the communist period and its once-industrial towns.
Your first stop in Prizren is the fortress, known as the “Crown of Prizren,” where breathtaking views reveal the city’s mosques, churches, old houses, and Turkish baths blending beautifully together. You’ll then visit the Sinan Pasha Mosque, the city’s most iconic and active place of worship, admired for its ornate interior and unique square structure.
The tour continues with the historic League of Prizren complex, the Ethnographic Museum, and the Church of St. Ljevi, a precious 14th-century monument protected by UNESCO and currently undergoing restoration.
Before returning to Tirana, you’ll enjoy some free time to have lunch, stroll through traditional streets, or browse local craft and souvenir shops another chance to feel the warm, authentic spirit of Prizren.
