Things to do in Palamós

The port of Palamós, built in the thirteenth century by King Pere II the Great, thanks to this port the city enjoys an important commercial activity. Upon arrival in Girona; We will make a walking tour of the main tourist icons of the city of Girona, especially we visit the Cathedral, a building that combines several artistic styles from different eras such as Gothic and Roman. We will visit the Arab baths of Girona, built in the 12th century and located inside the convent of the Capuchins.
Then we go to Figueres, where we visit the Salvador Dalí Theater-Museum. Figueres is the capital of the Alt Empordá region rich for its wine cellars and its coast.
Our next stop will be Perelada, a former county town that bears the same name. Here we will visit Perelada Castle, an old Renaissance fortification. We headed towards La Botiga del Celler. We return to Palamós, where we will hold a wine tasting and wine pairing dinner.

We will go to Figueres to contemplate a unique museum in the world, the Salvador Dalí Theater-Museum, with the most exquisite art and painting collections of that genius. We continue to Besalú, monumental sample of the medieval Catalan world. Nestled in the region of La Garrotxa, it is one step away from the spectacular landscape of the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa and the last foothills of the eastern sector of the Girona Pyrenees.

Pals is a medieval town, full of vaults, horseshoe arches, doorways and Romanesque and Gothic windows, with vestiges with more than 1000 years old. Walking its walls will transport us to the very middle ages Pals, it is surrounded by rice fields, which generate an amazing landscape during flowering.

In this place we will be part of the D.O. Empordá, which runs along a transverse line from the sea to the mountain. We will start with Vilabertran, then we will move to Perelada, an old county town that bears the same name.

Then we go to La Botiga del Celler, where we will approach the coastal town of Cadaqués, with its labyrinthine streets and the promenade. It maintains all the coastal flavor of the Costa Brava and its small fishing boats. Next we will visit Cap de Creus, with its 1853 lighthouse and offering fabulous views of the cliff. Possibility of taking a cruise through the Bay of Cadaqués. Time to eat at one of the restaurants in Cadaqués. Then we will go to the small town of Portlligat.

We will go to the Theater-Museum of Salvador Dalí, to and appreciate the art and painting of Salvador Dalí, with more than 1 M of visitors a year. Then we visit the church of Sant Pere, a Romanesque church with elements of the Gothic in the fourteenth century. Figueras is the capital of the Alt Empordá region rich for its wine cellars and its coast.

After this cultural visit, we will approach the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes at the top of the mountain range that overlooks the sea, with fantastic views of the bay. In Vic we will visit the medieval center and a gastronomic visit at Casa Riera, where we can taste the famous Salchichón de Vic.
After touring its medieval center, of Romanesque origin, we will take the route to the Monastery of Montserrat, which alone is worth a visit. In Montserrat, a place recognized by the surrounding mountain that offers a spectacular landscape, we visit the sanctuary of La Moreneta, a popular name with which the virgin of the place is known: Mare de Déu de Montserrat. We will visit the great monastery of Montserrat.
After visiting the sanctuary we will visit the Montserrat viewpoint to appreciate the beauty that the mountain offers with its famous views that impress visitors.
We return to Barcelona, before returning to Palamós, to close the tour with a visit to a wine cellar and learn more about Barcelona's wine. Return to our port.

We will know Pedraforca which is one of the most emblematic mountains of Catalonia (Spain). It has a very peculiar shape due to its two peaks separated by a large hill. Its best known view is that seen from its eastern slope. Considered a natural reserve of national interest. It is a particularly attractive mountain formation due to its U-shaped profile, a peculiarity that gives it its name. The Catalan words ‘pedra’ and ‘forca’ mean, respectively, ‘stone’ and ‘gallows’ in Spanish

Visit to the Salvador Dalí Theater-Museum which is a museum dedicated entirely to the painter Salvador Dalí who is in Gala-Salvador Dalí Square, the artist bequeathed in his will a huge amount of works of art to the Spanish State, which were distributed between this Reina Sofía Museum and Museum in Madrid

We will know the castle of Sant Ferran, a fortress that was built in the 18th century. Its colossal dimensions, and its more than three kilometers of perimeter, make it one of the largest in Europe.

Caminata por la Tartera de Gósol un camino antaño lleno de guijarros y pequeñas rocas que facilitaban el camino, actualmente con cierta erosión por la actividad de excursionistas en la zona.
