Visit the Reindeer Sleigh School

If you love animals, this is the must have tour to you. We train reindeer to work with people. For that we have our “Reindeer Sleigh School”. Visit our Reindeer Sleigh school, meet our lovely students, and learn about animal friendly, force-free training methods usable also with other animal species.  

In the school we have grades for reindeer aged from about 8 months to four years. Some might need a bit more time and have an extra year before starting to work. When our students graduate, they’re ready and happy to work as professional sleigh reindeer.

Visiting the Reindeer Sleigh School you will meet our students, learn how they are trained, and what kind of animal training methods and issues are central in training reindeer, and also other animals. 

We train reindeer mainly in winter (November-April). In summer our sleigh school students are always grazing freely in the nature. Most of them still visit home to rest and get some extra treats almost daily, so you can meet some of them while visiting our farm also in summer. 

Program: Getting familiar with the reindeer training methods and principles. Learning about animal welfare and animal-friendly training through positive reinforcement. Feeding the students and getting to know them. Warm drinks and home baked cookies.
