Visit the Reindeer Sleigh School

If you love animals, this is a must-have tour for you. We train new animals to work with people mainly as sleigh reindeer. For that, we have our “Reindeer Sleigh School”. Visit our Reindeer Sleigh school, meet our lovely students, and learn about animal-friendly training methods usable also with other animal species.  

In school, we have grades for reindeer aged one to four. Some might need a bit more time and have an extra year before starting to work. When our students graduate, they’re ready and happy to work as professional sleigh reindeer.

Visiting the Reindeer Sleigh School you will meet our students, learn how they are trained, and what kind of animal training methods and issues are central in training reindeer, and also other animals. 

Program: Getting familiar with the reindeer training methods and principles. Learning about animal welfare and animal-friendly training through reinforcement. Feeding the students and getting to know them. Short course of suopunki (lasso) throwing. Warm drinks and cookies.
