03 Day Nuwara Eliya & Ambewela Tour

Description
Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka’s highest town and a favourite hill station during British colonial times. The town is still touted as ‘Little England’, an illusion maintained by the presence of the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, a racecourse, the Victoria Park and excellent trout fishing in nearby lakes and rivers. You will find the temperature can drop close to freezing at nights and log fires are a common feature of the many Tudor-style houses.
New Zealand farm rears purebred Friesian cows and maintains a pure line of cattle. In order to maintain the quality of milk the cows are provided with a rich diet and sterilized water. Excellent health care are given on a 24 hr basis. Here one can see the largest grasslands of Sri Lanka and is also a part of the Ambewela farm which manufactures dairy products, such as milk, cheese and yoghurt and could be seen by visitors.
