Orangutan Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Indonesia Bali/Jakarta – Accommodation ( B )
You will be picked up at the airport then transfer to your hotel overnight. Free in your own leisure time.
Day 2: Bali / Jakarta To Pangkalan Bun ( Central Kalimantan ) ( B )
Taking an early morning flight from Bali via Jakarta or Surabaya to Pangkalan Bun in Central Kalimantan. upon arrival, you will be met by our local guide then transfer to your Accommodation. Optional activities: you can take an afternoon walk around the city or a river cruise to see the incredible sight and sounds of the local town with its people. Stay overnight at Swiss bell in Hotel.
Day 3: Hotel – Boat – Camp Leakey
Pick up at Swiss bell in After breakfast for onboard to the klotok, today is your Klotok boat journey begin up to the Sekonyer river to Camp Leakey, the oldest camp set up for the orphaned Orangutans. Explore the Camp Leakey upon arrival and surrounding and play around with the resident Orangutans accompany by Ranger and local guide. Back to the boat for lunch then witness feeding time at 14.00 pm for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods. then we cruise down Camp Leakey River and enjoy the surrounding forest area to crocodile lake for Overnight on boat. While here, you will most likely see other wildlife of Borneo such as Macaques and Probosci's monkeys. Enjoy the night. as macaques & proboscis monkeys. Overnight on the klotok. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Crocodile Lake – Pondok Tangui – Tanjung Harapan – Pesalat – Rimba Lodge (B,L,D)
Leaving the lake after breakfast continues to cruise to Pondok Tangui, the Rehabilitation center for Morning feeding the Orangutan. it’s time for Rimba Lodge Check-in before we head up to Pesalat plantation where you will plant some trees to help regenerate the forest, then we head up to Tanjung Harapan Station, the Rehabilitation center for afternoon Orangutan feeding. Enjoy your night at Rimba Lodge Rooms.
Day 5: Rimba Lodge – Camp Leakey Pondok Tanggui – Kumai Port – Hotel ( B, L, D )
Enjoy your breakfast at Rimba Lodge before we head to Camp Leakey for our second visit and morning Orangutan feeding, then we will cruise upriver to take a tour visit local villages. After lunch, you will cruise down the Sekonyer river stopping along the way to watch the proboscis monkeys on the riverbanks, as dusk falls we will head back to Kumai Port and Enjoy your dinner on the boat along the river as we go, stay overnight at Pangkalan Bun Hotel.
Day 6: Departure – Bali / Jakarta
Before we head to Pangkalan Bun Airport, you have free time at your own leisure to enjoy Pangkalan Bun City for your own purpose. You can visit the Yellow palace and local markets before catching the flight back to Bali / Jakarta. Upon Arrival, at Jakarta / Bali Our Driver will pick you up then transfer you to the hotel for a stay overnight.
Day 7: Trip Conclude
Today it’s your time to travel back home or take our extension trip to another destination in Indonesia. Trip Conclude.
