This biking area is recognized as a green area of the West Lombok district where you will visit a renowned historic mountain where ancient Hindu temples sit at the top of the mountain peak.
Tour Highlights
The tour starts with pick-up at your hotel lobby around 7:30 AM and drives you to your starting point at Mapak Village and slowly start paddling to Padang Reak Village through the huge rice paddy fields and continue to Jeranjang Village. Here you will have a chance to try local cakes and crackers when the traditional warungs of villager are open. After that, you will head to Kebon Ayu Village to see how local people make bricks from clay with traditional devices in a traditional way and then continue riding to the hand-weaving village of Penarukan to look at closely how the local people make Saroong. You will then cross the Ketejer River by a traditional wooden gondola to go to Mount Pengsong Temple. There are some Hindu shrines at the foothill and the main temple sit at the hilltop of Gunung Pengsong, to get there, you have to take 286 stairs which need effort and energy to get into the main temple, you can take a rest for a moment while enjoying the panorama from above Pengsong mountain, the view of rice field, houses, Mataram City, Lombok Strait, till the view of Padang Reak Kuranji village bay, is clearly shown. Done with the whole activity, the driver will be waiting for you to drive you back to your hotel. End of program.
