Bali: Mount Batur Sunrise Hike and Natural Hot Spring

Join the Mount Batur, Bali Tour with Indo Trip

Before embarking on your hike up Mount Batur, you will get an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Bali in time to watch the sunrise from 1717 metres above sea level. You will depart at any time between 01:30 and 02:30 am (depending on the location of your hotel), and then journey towards the active Mount Batur volcano near the village of Kintamani, Bali.

Upon arrival at Mount Batur, there will be a short introduction and safety briefing by your guide. All the guides are Bali locals with experience of trekking up Mount Batur. Learn more about the stratovolcano that is part of UNESCO’S Global Geopark Network and vibe off their passion for the region. You will then embark on your 1.5-hour trek to the highest point in Bali island, and at the tip of Mount Batur, watch the sunrise over Mount Agung and Mount Agang.

Upon arrival at the top, enjoy breakfast and take in the amazing views of the surrounding area at the break of day. After watching the sunrise over Bali, you will be given some time to walk around the crater of the volcano before trekking Mount Batur. You will cross a hill of lava and black sand that has layered over Mount Batur, before continuing with the Bali adventure hike. The tour group will trek back down the mountain and then soothe away any aches and pains at a natural hot spring at around 09:00 am.

After enjoying the natural hot spring, you may choose to visit a coffee plantation. Not far from Mount Batur, you will learn about Bali’s famous Luwak Coffee on this coffee plantation tour. After this, you will head back to your accommodation in Bali at which you should arrive at approximately 1:00 pm.
