Adams Peak

Another world heritage and multi religious place in Sri Lanka, It is an isolated mountain peak of 7359 feet’s above the sea level.

Adams peak is another most sacred, higher valuable and the most attractive place among local and foreign tourists.

The season begins from the full moon poya day. In December and ends on the full moon poya day in May. It is difficult to climb the rock during the week end because it is too crowded with local pilgrims in the week ends 

You can start the journey in the evening or at the mid night to avoid the heat of the sun at day time Sun rising is another amazing scenery we can see on the top of the hill and the temperature is less than 15 c0 Therefore make sure to pack warm clothes and equipments according to your needs. 
 

Day 01

The journey starts in the midday from your hotel premises in Kandy and travel to Adams peak. On the way you can visit Laxapana waterfall and water reservoirs. You can enjoy scenic landscapes both sides of the road while travelling to Adams peak

The hiking starts in the evening or in the midnight to avoid sun heat and to make the hiking much easier. It takes nearly four to five hours to reach the peak. It is better to avoid poya days and weekends as it is not easy to climb the peak as it is heavily crowded by the local pilgrims. In the morning you can see the sun arise, which you can never feel the beauty elsewhere than here. Adams peak is the 4th highest mountain hill of 7360 feet high. 


Day 02

The final part of arranging the journey is to drop you in Kandy on the second day evening.
