The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia

Description

The City of Arts and Sciences is the postcard of Valencia in the 21st century. The buildings are modern and show the personality of Santiago Calatrava. Science, art, people, nature, movement, Mediterranean, light. Everything on a 2km long complex.

We offer an outside walk through the following buildings explaining their main characteristics:

-Sciences Museum "Prince Felipe".

-3D-Cinema "l'Hemisferic".

-Opera House "Palau de les Arts Queen Sofia"

-Winter garden Promenade "l'Umbracle".

After a 20 minute walk, we enjoy the sea, namely the Mediterranean in 2007. The America's Cup seal competition was held there. British architect David Chipperfield's "Veles e Vents" building was the official balcony for VIPS and tourists. Nowadays, thanks to the large number of restaurants and pubs, it is the perfect "meeting point" in spring, summer, autumn and sometimes also in winter
