<Horikawa Pleasure Boat>

A moat surrounds Matsue Castle, and the “Gurutto Matsue Horikawa Meguri (Horikawa Pleasure Boat)” is a sightseeing boat that allows visitors to experience the scenery from the water. From the boat, you can see the castle's changed appearance since the Edo period, with rich nature and water scenery that cannot be seen on the ground. The boat can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons, and in winter, a “kotatsu-bune” is operated, which has become a wintertime tradition in Matsue.
