Full Day City Tour of New Delhi with Lunch

DAY 1
You will be picked up by our representative from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi outside gate number 5 standing with a placard of your name. We can also pick you up from any other location in New Delhi according to your preference in New Delhi.
Start Your Tour with the Visit of Old Delhi also called as Shahjahanabad. Visit the World Famous Jama Masijd, the biggest Friday Mosque of India, which can host upto 20,000 Worshipers. After the Visit take a Ride on Pedal Rickshaw through the narrow alleys of Famous Chandni Chowk Market.
Next proceed to visit the magnificent Qutub Minar. The buildings in this complex, 15 km south of Delhi, date from the onset of Muslim rule in India. The Qutab Minar itself is a soaring tower of victory, whose construction was commenced in 1193, immediately after the defeat of the last Hindu Kingdom in Delhi. It is nearly 73 metres high and tapers from a 15 Meter diameter base to just 2.5 metres at the top. The tower has five distinct stories, each marked by a projecting balcony. The first three storeys are made of red sandstone while the fourth and fifth stories are made of marble
Next visit the India Gate, The national monument of India, Constructed in memory of 90,000 soldiers of British-Indian army who fought in the Second World War, the structure was built under the leadership of Sir Edwin Lutyens. The architectural complex is made of red stone and granite. Drive Past President’s House The official residence of President of India, the building is another attraction of New Delhi. It has remained home to the former British Viceroy of India till 1950. Drive Past Parliament House A circular colonnaded building. It also houses ministerial offices, numerous committee rooms and an excellent library as well. Conceived in the Imperial Style, the Parliament House consists of an open verandah with 144 columns.
Relax in the mid afternoon enjoying a sumptuous lunch at a local restaurant in New Delhi.
After lunch, Visit Humayun’s Tomb (A Unesco World Heritage Site) The tomb is an early example of Mughal architecture. Humayun’s senior wife Haji Begum had it built in the middle of the 16th century. Haji Begum too was buried in the tomb. The garden has other tombs including that of Humayun’s barber and the Tomb of Isa Khan. The latter is a good example of Lodi architecture. The terraces of the tomb provide an excellent view of the surrounding city.
