Cross Borneo Trip
Description
This is a special interest tour and trekking program, offering the real-life of two-part of Borneo Island. You will meet with the locals through the wildlife walk and crossing the rivers, mud, rock, and steep hill in deep of the rain forest. We are highly recommended a good level of fitness and have an adventurous spirit as most of the conditions are challenging. All meals will be served by your guide at Indonesian food. During the trekking trip, we will take freshwater from the spring for consumption and stay overnight in a tent and base on basic facilities.
The incredible jungle surroundings make this trip an amazing place to visit if you’re after a truly outdoor adventure. It’s an oasis of pure clean air, a clear night sky as well as a home to the gentle people of the jungle of the orangutans.

Indonesia Cross Borneo Trip Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL – LOAJANAN – MAHAKAM RIVER (LD)
On arrival at Sepinggan International Airport Sultan Aji M. Sulaiman, meeting services then transfer to the river town of Loajanan, where we will board our houseboat and start travel along the Mahakam River. Continue our travel overnight on the river to reach our next stop. Dinner & Overnight on houseboat.
Day 2: MAHAKAM RIVER – MUARA MUNTAI – MANCONG – MELAK . (BLD)
The morning after breakfast visit the Muara Muntai village to see the activity of local people, then transfer by motorized canoe across the Jempang Lake to Mancong the Homeland of Dayak Banuaq tribe if the water level permit. Along the Ohong river, you’ll see the wildlife of Longtail monkey, Proboscis Monkey, Freshwater Eagle, Egret, King Fisher, and Snake. On arrival, a welcome ceremony will be held by the Chief of Dayak and following by a traditional dance with his people. Afternoon returns the boat and cruise up the Mahakam river to Melak. Dinner & overnight on the boat.
Day 3: MELAK – KERSIK LUWAI – EHENG – TERING – LONG BAGUN. (BLD)
Morning arrives in Melak, after breakfast sightseeing at a local market then transfers to Kersik Luway observe the Nature Black Orchid forest. Then continue to drive to Eheng visit the Old traditional Dayak Longhouse where the tribe still living together with their daily activity such as made the rattan basket and hunting wild pig in the jungle. Afterward, drive to Tering and catch the regular speed boat cruise further up the Mahakam river to Long Bagun. Afternoon arrives in Long Bagun proceed to check-in simple Losmen Pole Wali for your accommodation and dinner provided.
Day 4: LONG BAGUN – TIONG OHANG (BLD)
Breakfast at Losmen, then board into the regular speed boat and cruise up the Mahakam river bypassing several rapids, wall rock, waterfall through to the village. Afternoon arrives in Tiong Ohang proceed to check-in at simple Losmen for your accommodation. Free at leisure and see the activity around the village of local people.
Day 5: TIONG OHANG – ATIKOP HILL – MUARA SAITE (BLD)
Board by motorized canoe passing several small rapids. Start trek today. Overnight jungle campsite.
Day 6: MUARA SAITE – MUARA CUHUTING (BLD)
Continue our trekking through primary rainforest and rivers. Overnight jungle campsite
Day 7: MUARA CUHUTING – MULLER RANGE (BLD)
Continue trekking through the Muller Range and will pass the border East and West Borneo. Overnight jungle campsite.
Day 8: MULLER RANGE – BUAH KIU RIVER (BLD)
Continue our trekking through primary rain forest and rivers. Overnight jungle campsite.
Day 9: BUAH KIU RIVER – BUNGAN LEA (BLD)
Continue our trekking through primary rain forest and rivers. Overnight jungle campsite.
Day 10: BUNGAN LEA – BORAKAN (BLD)
Continue our trekking through primary rain forest and rivers. Overnight jungle campsite.
Day 11: BORAKAN – BATU BOBO (BLD)
Continue our trekking through primary rain forest and rivers. Overnight jungle campsite.
Day 12: BATU BOBO – TANJUNG LOKANG (BLD)
Today is the last day trekking to Tanjung Lokang, the homeland of Punan tribe. Overnight at village lodge.
Day 13: TANJUNG LOKANG – PUTUS SIBAU (BLD)
After breakfast, head down the Kapuas river to Putussibau by longboat. We’ll pass several rapids. On arrival proceed to check-in at Hotel for your accommodation. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: PUTUS SIBAU – PONTIANAK (BLD)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and board on the flight to Pontianak. Upon arrival, a city tour around the city and visit Equator Monument. Afterward drive to the hotel for your accommodation and rest.
Day 15: PONTIANAK – DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast at hotel, free at leisure until transfer to airport for your return flight.

Day 12: BATU BOBO – TANJUNG LOKANG (BLD)
Today is the last day trekking to Tanjung Lokang, the homeland of Punan tribe. Overnight at village lodge.
Day 13: TANJUNG LOKANG – PUTUS SIBAU (BLD)
