ASFENDOU GORGE
Description
This is a long hiking experiance 19 klm long and offers you the opportynity to meet Cetan landscape and culture also.
You are going to pass througt tree villages and trought Asfendou gorge ending at the Lybian sea at the beach
Starting the route you will be at Askyfou plateu, while your final destination will be Francocastelo beach.
You are going to hike South to Ambelos little plateu were you will see the stonen cictern and father on you will be at the cell above Asfendou traditional village. Continiuing you will be at the village where you can have a break for coffee or so. After the break the route continues into the gorge of Asfendou and at the exit is Agios Nectarios little village continuing two more klm you finally are going to be at Francocastelo beach and enjoy a refreshing swim.
Total 19KM
If you wish you can also have lunch at Francocastello before or after.
You can come to Askýfou by your car or you can choose to been transfered there by me, picking you up from Chania and also to been transfered back from Askyfou back to Chania.
To returne back to Askyfou for your car you may use the public bus or by taxi.
