Cagliari: Between Sea and Mountains: Dinghy and Jeep Tour from Chia

Full day excursion by dinghy and jeep to discover the sea and the mountains of Chia and Domus de Maria.

During the morning - The departure could be from the beach of Sa Colonia or from the beach of Malfatano, depending on the wind forecast. You will explore on this 4-hour private boat tour the coves and beaches on this fantastic guided boat tour. Chia was twice named the most beautiful beach in Italy.

The waters of Chia are pristine and a shimmering, crystal clear, blue color. Dive in and enjoy. Complementing that stunning turquoise water is the peach-colored sand, and scattered among the sand dunes are lush green juniper trees. The colors are really striking. Heading to the beach is a tradition of the locals and visitors alike. You will clearly see why the coves and beaches in Chia are famous. Time allowing, you will stop at up to 5 of the prettiest coves or beaches, depending on how much time you spend at each. One of the bays you will visit is Cala Cipolla, from here you can admire the lighthouse of Capo Spartivento. This cove offers one of the best places to snorkel in South Sardinia.

Your guide can provide you the snorkel gear, or you are welcome to bring your own or just spread out your towel on the sand, kick back, and relax! Another fantastic beach is Malfatano, ideal for families with children due to its calm waters, and it offers incredible vistas of Capo Malfatano bay. Tuerredda can be considered as one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, and it also offers excellent snorkeling. You will also make stops Porto Larboi and S'isola Manna. You will find restroom facilities at some of the beaches (Cala Cipolla, Tuerredda, and Malfatano), although some may be rustic. Please see the notes section.

You will also find small stands, cafes, and options to purchase lunch, drinks, or snacks. Your guide will gladly assist with suggestions. Throughout your experience at Chia, your guide will give your stories, history, and tales about the area and make your time as personalized as possible. This excursion by dinghy to discover the bays will take you to visit all the hidden coves of the protected nature reserve of Capo Spartivento, as well as the military areas of Teulada and Cala Zafferano (if available), which can be visited from June to September. These beaches are reachable only by dinghy. After the tour, you will stop for lunch at the beautiful beach of Malfatano, where the fresh fish comes from the fishermen directly to your table (meals not included). Your local guide will be keen to make the tour as personal as possible.

After lunch, you will head towards the real green Sardinian space, represented by Is Cannoneris, the most significant European holm oaks majestic forest set over 1000 meter feet. In this magic place, you may meet up with deers, eagles, mouflons, wild boars, which are the most important species that inhabit Is Cannoneris Reserve. This itinerary also includes the visit to the prehistoric ruins of Nuraghi, ancient stone buildings, vast examples of the "drystone" technique, dated from 1500 b.c.
