Tasting class & workshop with a wine educator

Description

The program will change on 01/04/25, this is the new program:

Join a Bordeaux wine tasting class in English!

Perfect for understanding the complexity of Bordeaux wines. Your guide will teach you how to taste, recognize grape varieties, and learn about the history of Bordeaux wines.

10:30 am: Meet at 3 rue d’Enghien, 33000 Bordeaux, at the À la Française apartment.

Start with a welcome glass of white wine and learn the basics of wine tasting, so you’ll never feel intimidated in a French restaurant again.

Next, discover the history of Bordeaux wines and their main grape varieties, such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Taste 2 single-varietal wines before joining a blending workshop.

Taste 2 blended wines prepared in front of you to understand their differences.

Then, enjoy a blind tasting of a famous Bordeaux wine and guess where it’s from.

All of this with a typical French aperitif (fresh bread, sausage, cheese, dark chocolate...) to pair with your wines and discover your tasting profile with the help of your guide.

12:00 pm: End of the tasting class.

This is the program until 31/03/25:

Develop your knowledge and appreciation of French wine with a 2-hour small-group wine tasting and workshop in Bordeaux. Start your session with a presentation of the main French wine regions by your professional wine educator in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Next, learn some wine-tasting techniques; learn how to identify different aromas; and enjoy an appetizer platter of local cheese, meats and bread while tasting seven different wines from regions including Bordeaux, Burgundy, Côtes du Rhône and the Loire Valley. Finish the fun session with a wine-blending workshop, where you’ll create your own blend of wine.
