 The tour begins at the Royal Quarter of Brussels with a visit to the royal square, Place Royale, one of the oldest places in the city. There you will be able to visit the remains of the original palace on the Coudenberg, which was destroyed in 1731. Then you will walk past a magnificent Art Nouveau building of the Musical Instruments Museum which once was a luxury department store, and will see the Royal Library with its huge collection of books – over 6 million!   

Your journey will continue with a walk along the cultural heart of Brussels, a veritable Mont des Arts where you will listen to the history of its creation. The heart of Belgium, the Market Square, will reveal to you the darkest of its secrets while you examine the architecture of the Town Hall and the rest of the buildings on the square. You will also see the House of Bread which now houses the Museum of the City of Brussels. Its collection is especially famous for the more than 500 costumes of Manneken Pis that are kept here.

A visit to the most famous resident of Brussels – Manneken Pis, will be the cherry on top to finish your acquaintance with the city’s historical district after which you can continue to explore the city on your own.
