A Day At Wolfland

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be eye to eye with an Arctic Wolfdog, to befriend yourself with these stunning animals throughout an adventures day together?
Arctic Wolfland Sanctuary gives you the chance for this unique lifetime experience!
After the first get-together and an introduction, you will follow one of the owners to meet the Arctic Wolfdogs inside their enclosures, where you gain knowledge and start to befriend yourself with the different individuals.
You will walk through the forest from one enclosure to the following. If individuals under the age of 15 attending the experience, the enclosure switch is made from outside!
For lunch you will grill sausages over the bonfire and get yourself ready for the following hike over a hot beverage at the fireplace.
The highlight of this day is the hike (with snowshoes in wintertime) through the arctic woods and swamps of Lapland. The Arctic Wolfdogs will give you the possibility to see their behavior in a natural surrounding. Hiking is one of the best ways to get to know these majestic beauties and to be in the middle of untouched nature. You will walk mainly cross country through swamp land, jump over ditches – so be prepared to get wet feet. The wild doesn’t need paths…
We, at Arctic Wolfland Sanctuary want to educate people in the right behavior with animals in general and bring wolf behavior closer to them with the help of our Arctic Wolfdogs.
People have unlearned proper handling of animals and are not able anymore to deal with them in a correct way, which leads to an ever-increasing number of (deadly) accidents involving animals of all kinds.

NOTE - This is an exclusive private tour for you/your group only!
- Guided tour to the enclosures & into the woods by the owners of the Sanctuary
- Knowledge about Wolfdogs, domesticated dogs, Wolves and the importance of wolves in the wild
- Intimate moments inside their enclosures
- An insight in the behavior & interaction of wolves peppered with lots of stories and inside knowledge about the life of the Arctic Wolfdogs in the woods of Lapland
- A good amount of time to get your questions answered
- Photograph the Wolfdogs from outside/inside their enclosures and during the hike
- A hot beverage and lunch at the fireplace
- An approx. 1,5h long hike with some Arctic Wolfdogs
- Included are hiking belts (all-year round) and snowshoes (winter)
- Duration: up to 4 hours (NOTE - the duration depends much on you and your interest, weather conditions and includes preparation/instruction time)
Know before you go
Minimum age for entering the enclosures is 15 years. Underage persons must have a parent or legal guardian accompany them during the experience, children under the age of 15 have to stay accompanied outside the enclosures.
