Our walk will include visits to the Cathedral of St. Mark which is probably the best proof of the artistry of the famous stone masons of Korčula and the excellent stone of the island which has been used in buildings all over the world. A visit to the Bishop's Palace reveals the hidden treasures of the town (sketches and drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Tiepolo and many others). The town of Korčula is also known as the birthplace of Marco Polo whose alleged birth house can be seen from the outside.
