So be sure to participate in this little fun ritual to get a good deal for your purchases. The market is visited by locals across the island who come for grocery shopping and also by tourists. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the food market takes place, where fresh vegetables and mouth-watering fruits are sold. Sundays and Thursdays are the days for textiles market with a display of clothes, blankets, table cloths, shoes, bags and trinkets. Also available are kitchen items, sunglasses, carpets, make-up and souvenir stands.
