Your first stop will be at the largest traditional open-air market on the island, Badung Market. It is here that many locals come to bargain for a wide variety of food and products from all over the island and you will have the opportunity to wander around to see a hive of activity. You can even sample some of the delicious tropical fruits here. From the market walk to a nearby family - run Chinese coffee shop that has been passed down over the years from generation to generation. Sample a cup of one of their many freshly brewed coffees. Next it’s time to visit some of the museums to get a feel for the history of the island. At the Bali Museum see the various collections of weapons, sculptures, paintings, textiles, musical instruments and theatrical masks. Then visit Bajra Sandi, the war museum, with its impressive monument and exhibits that portray the different wars that were fought during Indonesia’s fight for independence.
