Yoga Nidra (Psychic Sleep)

Description

Yoga Nidra is the art of conscious relaxation, also known as ‘psychic sleep’. It is a powerful practice that invites the body and mind to gently release tension and anxiety, bringing us back to balance.

Using the iRest Yoga Nidra meditation method, learn how to guide your body into sleep; whilst your mind remains fully awake. During this time, brain waves drop into the theta state, where deep levels of healing take place on the emotional, mental and physical planes. A regular practice can help to reduce stress, improve sleep, soften symptoms of anxiety and cultivate greater self-awareness and compassion.

Yoga Nidra is practiced in a comfortable lying down position and involves following the voice of the instructor, who will guide the practitioner through various stages of relaxation, visualization, and self-inquiry. 

No prior yoga experience is required. Beginners welcome! We recommend bringing a journal and pen along to this practice.

Complimentary mats, blocks, bolsters, straps, and towels are all provided, however, feel free to bring your own.
