Ayutthaya Temples, Ruins and Lunch on scenic Cruise

Description
Starting at 08:00AM at your hotel lobby. Travel back through time and explore the Historic City of Ayutthaya, the city that can be traced back from 1350 when it was founded.
Make merits at Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, or the Great Monastery of Auspicious Victory. The temple features a large chedi surrounded by an elegant gallery of smaller Buddha statues. Walk around the temple to see different Buddhas statues located inside including Phra Putta Chaiya Mongkhon.
Wat Ratchaburana was built in the early Ayutthaya period with a Khmer-style pagoda as the main structure. Treasures and artifacts were kept in the vault beneath the temple and were looted as soon as its existence is known to the public. Most items discovered from the vault are now displayed in the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum.
Continue to the nearby Wat Mahathat which is famous for the Buddha's head entwined in the roots of Bodhi Tree. Renown as the Monastery of the Great Relic, Wat Mahathat was one of the most temple complexes on Ayutthaya Island being the Royal Temple that serves as the religious center and enshrining the relics of the Buddha. It is also where the supreme patriarch of the city lived.
After the long walk, we will board the cruise for our Thai lunch and ride along the Ayutthaya rivers. Enjoy the scenic view of Ayutthaya Island as you try delicious dishes. Although this is not a private cruise, it is only for a small group and will not affect your privacy.
An impressive temple located by the side of Ayutthaya rivers, the Khmer style Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a Royal temple that was used by the King and other members of the Royal family.
