The Historic Kanchanaburi

Starting early in Bangkok, our guide will pick you up at your hotel. Head towards Kanchanaburi. Visit the War Cemetery contains the remains of 6,982 Allied POWs who died during the construction of Thai-Burma Death Railway. Visitors come to the park that reminds them of the war and its consequences.
Proceed to Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre and Memorial Walking Trail. This cutting on the Death Railway cost the lives of more than 16,000 Allied prisoners and countless Asian laborers during World War II. Take the walking trail to the cutting and visit the Hellfire Pass museum.
Take on the challenge of a thrilling walk on the notorious Death Railway that was built alongside the river. And explore Tham Kra Sae where you can find a cave with a Buddha image inside. This cave was formerly a camp for the POWs during the construction of the railway.
Set out to the famous Bridge of the River Kwai, spend a short time walking along the ironclad bridge that bears a long history of bloodshed and conflict from the time of World War II.
