Fjord and salmon safari from Øystese (private group)
Description
Enjoy a fjord safari with a RIB through dramatic fjord landscapes, with a visit to the Hardanger Aquacenter where you get to taste delicious Norwegian salmon produced in the Hardangerfjord, served with local cider/apple juice.
The tour begins with a tour of the digital exhibition at the Hardanger Aquacenter in Øystese, before we take the RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) into the spectacular fjord arm Fyksesund midway through the Hardangerfjord.
Fyksesund is visually stunning with its steep 1000 meter high fjord walls - a place where you will feel like you are in another world. We will have several stops along the way close to the shore, among Fyksesund's countless waterfalls, and learn about the history of life along the fjord.
On the way back to Øystese, we will visit the Hardanger Aquacenter's exhibition center where you will get an introduction to salmon production in practice and taste delicious local salmon and cider/apple juice.
Return to Øystese via RIB through Kvamsøy and Tjuvaholmen.

Know before you go
- On rainy days wear water repellent shoes. If heavy rain wear rain jackets and pants (the flotation suits are only water repellent)
