Enchanting Journeys through Yogyakarta City & Prambanan

Start the day with Yogyakarta for city tour. The first visit will be the Sultan’s Palace, also known as ‘Keraton’. Build between 1756 – 1790, Keraton is a fine example of traditional Javanese sultanate architecture. Proceed to visit the adjacent water temple Taman Sari. This addition to the royal complex was built over 200 years ago by the first Sultan with bathing pools for his harem.
After lunch at local restaurant, continue drive toPrambanan Temple, visit the ancient Hindu Prambanan Temple. Built in the 9thcentury, this collection of sharp, jagged temples features three main inner shrines dedicated to the Hindu trinity: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. UNESCO named Prambanan a Heritage Site in 1991. Your guide will explain the history and symbolism of the temples as you walk around.

Know before you go
Make sure you wear long pant or skirts lower than your knee. Sandals or flip-flops are allowed. We suggest wearing shoes, which are comfortable for walking, and are easy to be worn and taken off.
