What you will do on this Nazhila 10 day tour
The most important thing that you will do on this tour is spend time connecting with local community members living in genuine functioning African traditional villages. You will experience what daily African village life is like in Zambia in real time. You will learn more about the rich pre and post colonial history of Zambia first-hand in real time.
You will visit and tour a number of genuine Zambian traditional villages in the interior of southern province which are not modified or altered in any way for tourists . These are traditional villages least affected by western life style and traditions. The local people living in these villages are still practicing the original African culture and traditional way of life.
Village home stay-in: Where possible and subject to your approval or re-alignment, you will spend a night stay in a genuine village and assist in daily village chores the following day. This means that you may simply want to do day village activities in these villages in Chikankanta district. This will enable you to learn about the way of life of the local people and their cultural practices.
Cultural respect
o Please remember that you will be expected to cover your legs and arms during visits to the Chiefs Palace and traditional villages. A round wrapper will be super fine.
