Full-day Legacy Of The Past Quang Tri And The DMZ

Description

Start your day with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Hue, then drive along the beautiful coastal area to Quang Tri. Our first stop will be Dakrong Bridge, one of the starting points of the Ho Chi Minh Trails, leading you to Hamburger Hill and Ashao Valley. Our main stop in the morning is the Khe Sanh Combat Base, a significant U.S. Marines base that was attacked by the N.V.A. Forces in early 1968, prior to the TET Offensive. The DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) is located in the rugged, jungle-covered mountains along the Vietnam-Laos border in South Vietnam.

After a morning of exploration, enjoy a rest at a local restaurant for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will head to Hien Luong Bridge and the Seventeenth Parallel, which marks the former borderline between North and South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Following that, visit the Vinh Moc Museum and Vinh Moc Tunnels, which served as shelters from intense bombings during the war. Today, the tunnels are a popular tourist attraction and can be visited on organized tours.

We will then continue to Con Tien Firebase and the Quang Tri Citadel before returning to your hotel in Hue
