At this wholesale market you can see the colourful splendour and the multitude of flowers and blossoms that are needed everywhere in the temples of Bali for the daily offerings, but also for various ceremonies, as well as for your purification ceremony in the idyllic mountain village today.
After a short walk along the rice fields, you reach the mountain village – a heartly welcome with a traditional Balinese Jamu drink by our Balikaru team. Relax and listen to the sounds of Rindik, the traditional Balinese instrument. It´s a perfect backround and the team will show you, how to play it. Don't be shy and try to coax wonderful sounds from the Rindik yourself.
Now it´s time to prepare for your purification ceremony: you´ll dressed into Balinese temple clothes in preparation for the ceremony. The temple priest awaits you at a small temple located next to a secluded river – the perfect place for the traditional Balinese purification ceremony according to ancient Bali Hindu Dharma spiritual rituals. The priest has carefully choosen flowers for the offerings and together you´ll prepare this for the ceremony. Your guide is always at your side to explain all parts of the blessing and purification ceremony.
Just listen to the voice of the priest, which will be interrupted just only by the sacred bells of the priest, used to ring in various parts of the ceremony. Let yourself be captivated by this wonderful, spiritual place and surrender to your personal blessing and purification ceremony - a unique, unforgettable experience for life.
Body and mind will be refreshed and offer space for new experiences. The impact on nature, the local people and their way of life remains minimal, instead you have the opportunity to engage intensively with them and thus contribute to the preservation of authentic village structures.
Back to Balikaru, refresh and change to your clothes. Enjoy a homemade Nasi Campur Tumpeng at Warung Balikaru - a very traditional Balinese dish.
Then it´s time to say good bye, you leaf Balikaru for a leisure walk through picturesque Belulang village, ending up at Belulang Hot Springs. A note out of respect for the Balinese faith
For ethical reasons, female guests are not allowed to enter temples during menstruation, as this would mean bad luck according to Balinese belief. This unwritten rule may seem a little strange to us according to Western standards. On this excursion, however, the Balinese allow you an insight into their deepest traditions and even let you take part in them. For this reason, you should accept this and show the people and their beliefs the necessary respect.
