Mountain Train & Nuria Hike Pyrenees

Description
Explore the Pyrenees and admire its alpine vegetation and majestic peaks. After our arrival in Queralbs, we will set off to start our journey along the Camí Vell de Nuria. It is the original path that every first Catalan ski and snow enthusiast used to take to reach the beautiful Nuria Valley (1954 m). This hike is challenging and designed for participants with previous experience of hiking in the high mountains. A good physical level is required as we will climb 800 m of positive elevation gain over a 10 km distance. The iconic hotel and the shrine that hosts the Virgin of Nuria will suddenly appear as we finally enter the green valley. Our explorations will continue with a refreshing stop at the local sacred spring Font de Sant Gil. After visiting the Nuria Shrine we will hop on the rack railway train that will take us back to Queralbs. Due to the high mountain environment, all participants are required to wear hiking boots and come prepared for any sudden change of weather.
