Hydra
Hydra is one of the most enchanting islands, renowned for its breathtaking beauty and captivating light. Over the years, the island has inspired poets, artists, and celebrities from around the world, becoming a haven for creativity. The island’s car-free policy adds to its tranquil charm, offering a serene atmosphere in the bustling port. While vehicles are absent, transportation on Hydra is uniquely provided by donkeys and water taxis, with the donkeys serving as the island’s traditional means of transport for its 1,900 residents (as of 2021). For adventure seekers, Spilia is an iconic spot, where you can dive off the rocks into the clear blue waters and enjoy the beach like a local. Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy scenic trails through the island’s lush countryside or its cobblestone alleys.
Hydra Walking Tour

(Including a guide, pastry tasting and the entrance to the Cathedral’s Museum)
As Hydra is the only Greek island without cars, here we propose our unique Walking Tour. The island holds many “titles” such as cosmopolitan, historic, heroic, thus there is a great history to be explained by our host/ess.
· Right after the disembarkation from the cruise ship a short briefing takes place before the tour.
· Oldest Navy School of Europe (dated by the 18th century in a neoclassical building).
· The statue of captain “Miaouli” who represents the modern history of Hydra as well as the efforts and contribution to the victory of the Greeks against the Turks during the war of the Independence of Greece in 1821.
· The donkeys- Hydra’s main means of transportation!
· The oldest pastry shop of the island where hospitality and a treat of the famous sweets called “amygdalota” prepared with rose water, almonds and orange flowers, is enjoyed by the visitor.
· Going down to the harbor we will see the hospital and the Town Hall.
· The monastery dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and its miraculous icon. It was built in the 16th century and the decoration in its interior is very rich because of donations by rich captains and admirals that left all their wealth in the monastery.
· The Ecclesiastical and Byzantine Museum of the monastery admiring icons and ecclesiastical items of the 17th – 18th – 19th centuries’, is a very important part of the tour.
Poros
Nestled in the southern Saronic Gulf, Poros is a charming island just 58 km (36 miles) south of Piraeus, separated from the Peloponnese by a narrow 200-meter sea channel. Known for its lush pine forests and scenic beauty, Poros offers a relaxing escape with its tranquil atmosphere and historic allure. In addition to its vibrant town, Poros is home to the iconic Clock Tower, which offers panoramic views of the island and the surrounding sea. The island is also famous for its rich maritime history. Its picturesque beaches, charming alleys, and vibrant cafes make it a favorite weekend destination for Athenians.
Poros Free Time
With a 50-minute stop in Poros, you ’ll have just enough time to stroll through its charming town, admire the whitewashed houses, and visit landmarks like the City Hall, Municipal Library and Cultural Center. While there are no optional excursions offered on Poros, you can still make the most of your visit by exploring the island’s authentic charm. Don’t miss the islands iconic Clock Tower, perched at its highest point, offering breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding landscape.
Aegina
Aegina is the largest of the Saronic Islands with a glorious history dating from antiquity. Today, Aegina is popular island sea escape known for its golden beaches, spectacular countryside and fishing villages where authentic taverns specialize in an array of fresh grilled fish and local wines. The island is also internationally acclaimed as home of the world famous Aegina Pistachio. Just a short distance from Athens, Aegina is the preferred Saronic island for the summer home of cosmopolitan Athenians. According to myth, Aegina takes its name from the beautiful nymph kidnapped by Zeus.

Aegina Swimming Tour
Duration: 1h 50min
Greek hot summer days call for a swim. This optional shore excursion to Marathonas beach takes 15 minutes drive (4 km). It is one of the most visited beaches on the island as it is sandy and the water is shallow. It is a popular beach for couples and families with small kids. Swim in the beautiful blue colours of the sea and enjoy the view towards Moni island.
Aegina Panoramic Tour
Tour: 1h 30min. (Including bus transportation, a guide and food tasting at the Greek restaurant)
Crossing the Northern part by bus, the most beautiful part of Aegina with its crystal blue water and its traditional houses! Discovering the hidden jewels of the island, with fantastic views and amazing colors as well as big plantations of pistachio trees.
Eight stops at the most significant sightseeing of the island (listed below) without getting off the bus (photo stops), a twenty-minute stop at the Monastery of St. Nektarios. During the excursion, the host/ess gives all the information needed about pistachio nuts, the island’s history, and many fun facts.
- 1st stop: Ancient city of Aegina – Archaeological site of Kolona.
- 2nd stop: “The mother of Aegina” statue by Christos Kapralos, one of the most important Greek sculptors.
- 3rd stop: The house of Nikos Kazantzakis, the famous writer of “Alexis Zorbas” (the movie of Michalis Kakogiannis with Antony Queen and Irene Papas – Zorba the Greek).
- 4th stop: Souvala.
- 5th stop: Panoramic View.
- 6th stop: View of small chapels up in the hill of the medieval capital of the island, famous Palaiochora.
- 7th stop: Monastery of Saint Nektarios.
- 8th stop: Greek Traditional Restaurant, where our visitors get to try “ouzo”, Greece’s national aperitif alongside with some of the most popular Greek food specialties “meze”, mainly based on seafood.
Aegina Cultural Tour
Duration: 1h 50min (Including bus transportation and a guide)
Crossing the island by bus and while the experienced guides provide all the relevant information about the island of Aegina, history and pistachio wise, the passenger anticipates visiting the famous ancient temple of Aphaia alongside with the monastery of St. Nektarios.
First stop, the archaeological sanctuary of Aphaia, which is one of the most impressive buildings of the post-archaic period. The temple dominates the area and was founded by the Aegineans to commemorate the Minoan deity Aphaia, daughter of Zeus. The temple is of a Doric rhythm, one of the best-preserved temples in Greece. It is considered by many the model which the architects of Parthenon had in their minds. Moreover, it is said that together with the temple of Parthenon in Acropolis, Athens and the temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounio, are forming a sacred isosceles triangle, one of the greatest mysteries of the Greek antiquity. A licensed guide gives a detailed tour inside the archaeological area.
Second and final stop, the St. Nektarios Cathedral. The Saint Nektarios Cathedral was built around 1904-1907 by St. Nektarios, the Bishop of Pentapolis. St. Nektarios lived in the monastery and died in 1920. In 1961 he was declared a Saint. The church’s architectural style is basilica with a dome, same as the one of Santa Sofia in Istanbul. The monastery is a convent for women and 14 nuns live in it. The memory of the Saint is celebrated on November 9th and once more on the 3rd of September. A guide gives a tour. The duration of our stay is approximately half an hour.

Aegina Walking Tour
Duration: 1h. (guided tour)
Upon arrival in Aegina our local guide will be waiting for you to start a very interesting, enjoyable and pleasant walking tour.
The walking tour starts from the main port which is the capital of the island. Admire the most beautiful spots within the little narrow streets. The Neoclassical architecture with a strong folk element, built in the 19th century, the period when Aegina was the first capital of Independent Greece. Passing by the main buildings, hearing their history, and stopping every now and then to enjoy pictures. Explore local delicacies based on pistachio nuts, the main production of the island.
The tour ends at the port, leaving you free time to walk around the old city and enjoy local shopping.
