Take a moment to marvel at one of the world's oldest plane trees in  the village of Krasi. Once home to the first, largest, and most magnificent  wind farm in the world, boasting approximately 13,000 windmills in the  1950s. While only a few windmills remain operational today on the  fertile plain, nestled amid the imposing Dikti Mountains, you can  explore the majestic Diktaean Cave, the legendary birthplace and  sanctuary of Zeus, offering breathtaking vistas of the Lasithi Plateau  along the scenic route.
