Step Back In Time: Explore Bangkok's Historical Koh Kret Island

Description
Koh Kret is just a hop and a skip away from the city and well worth the trip. Spend the day with one of our hosts exploring this man-made island in the middle of the Chao Praya river. Here you can soak up the rich cultural heritage of the Mon community- one of Thailand’s oldest tribes renowned for their traditional pottery. Visit the weekend market where locals come to trade or take an adventure to the historic pottery making village, where the earthenware art is still made in the traditional Mon style. Explore the island’s rich culture as you visit historic temples like Wat Salakun, Wat Phat Lorn and Wat Poramaiyikawat and, if hunger pangs strike, your host will show you exactly where to go to indulge in authentic local street food. Once you have made a booking, we will pair you up with a like-minded host, who will create a personalised itinerary that is totally flexible. You can agree on a meeting time and place but you can always change your mind about what you want to do.
