VENICE ISLANDS: MURANO, BURANO AND TORCELLO BY MOTORBOAT (depart. hr. 12:30 or hr.14:30).

Description

Starting from St. Mark’s Square, cross the lagoon comfortably seated in a panoramic boat with a specialized tour guide explaining history and culture of the islands.

The first stop is Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Stop to visit a glass factory where to admire a glassblowing demonstration done by a local artist creating a unique glass item in front of you and have time to enjoy the lovely island.

The second stop is on the picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its laces manufacture but also for its fishermen's houses painted in bright colors, a perfect set for your colorful pictures! Get lost through the colored streets and taste the delicious local cookies called “Bussolai”. You will arrive in Burano for lunchtime, so you will have the opportunity to choose one of the typical fish restaurants for a quick lunch (not included in the price of the ticket) or to shop at the handmade lace stores.

The last, but not the least, stop is the quiet and sparsely populated island of Torcello (it has only 13 inhabitants!), the first center of civilization in the lagoon. Here you will admire the oldest churches and discover how Venice was born!

Come back from the islands crossing the lagoon and admiring the fascinating St. Mark’s Basin from the panoramic boat!
