Details The Catajo Castle, a majestic residence, is located in Battaglia Terme, at the foot of the Euganean Hills and was built in the late sixteenth century by the family of powerful soldiers Obizzi, starting from an older and modest building, the House of Beatrice. Century after century, the Catajo Castle was continuously enlarged until it reached its current 350 rooms, some of which are splendidly frescoed with the historical events of the patrons. During the guided tour inside the Catajo Castle you will, not only, get to know the history and heroic actions of the Obizzi family, but also, the mysteries and legends of the famous ghosts of Barbara and Lucrezia. You will visit the main floor admiring the beautiful cycle of frescoes by G.B. Zelotti telling the story of the famous family. In conclusion you will have some free time for a walk in the Garden of Delights, among the citrus collection, the fish pond and the secular plants.
