San Lorenzo Fort and Agua Clara Locks Panama Canal Historical Tour

Description

Join us on a 7-hour tour of the less visited Fort San Lorenzo on Panama's Caribbean coast and the Panama Canal's Agua Clara locks. Your tour begins at 7:00 am. Your English-speaking friend and tour guide will pick you up at your accommodation in Panama City from where you will continue to the Agua Clara Locks, located approximately 1.5 hours away on the Caribbean side of the country.

Visitors can take their time here and see the giant ships passing through the locks below. Stroll through the visitor center, watch an informative video or hike the nearby rainforest trail. Learn how engineers were able to raise Gatun Lake, build new locks and widen the existing canals to accommodate the huge New Panamax ships.

Around 10:00 am, we continue to Fort San Lorenzo, arriving at 11:00 am. Marvel at the rich history of the well-preserved ruins as your guide explains the colorful history of this historic landmark.

At 12:00 pm we return to Panama City and arrive at your hotel at 2:00 pm.
