Guided hike through Venado Caverns

Description
The Venado Caverns, comprising 2,700 meters with limestone caves filled with stalactite and stalagmite formations, is an ideal day trip in the Arenal area. It is believed that the caverns are between 15 and 20 million years old, were formed by the underground streams that still flows through the caves. During the guided visit to the caverns, you can see bats, nocturnal frogs, fish and marine fossils, many of which are endemic to the area. Entering the bowels of the earth is possible by visiting this place. Underground passageways will take us through caves and different rooms, exploring a world indifferent to light.
With flashlights to illuminate the way, as well as the respective equipment we will enter this labyrinth of ancient underground rivers and sea beds, now exposed after billions of years. We will visit formations such as the childbirth, the papaya, the coral and the altar, as well as rock formations called stalactites and stalagmites that are common within the caves, some hang from the rocky ceiling and others arise from the ground. Large colonies of bats inhabit the caves, as well as frogs and crabs. At the end of the tour you can enjoy delicious fresh fruits included. Live a unique experience in Costa Rica and get ready to get wet, get dirty and we will know a different world that will amaze you with different emotions.
