Rafting III-IV in Sarapiqui River from Arenal

Description
Rafting Rio Sarapiquí Class III has a 7.5-mile route between the small communities of La Virgen and Chilamate. It is special for beginners and intermediates. It is a very safe section, since it is formed by rapids followed by crystalline pools. On its way you can enjoy four rapids, class III and around twenty, class II. All of very good technical level. We begin our trip by picking up passengers at the hotels in the Arenal Zone starting at 8:00 a.m.
The trip to the river is made by taking the road to the pier, then we go through communities of Aguas Zarcas, Venecia, Río Cuarto and San Miguel. During this tour, the guide will give you all the details of the different villages we travel, their way of life, the characteristics of the natural environment and in general of the economic and social activities to which they are dedicated. At 10:30 a.m. We will be in Chilamate, on the banks of the mighty Sarapiquí River. The journey begins after a safety talk given by one of our guides. The Sarapiquí River is characterized by its crystalline waters and practically uncontaminated, thanks to the scarce population located in its margins and the protection of its banks.
This allows its travelers to enjoy a landscape full of natural life that they discover thanks to the advice of our naturalist guides. During the vibrant tour you will find pools where you can swim and cool off and challenge rapids like: "Hueco Gringo", "Confusion", "Superman", "Roller Coaster", "Air Force" among others. Halfway through there will be a stop on one of the sidewalks of the river, a backwater area, where tourists can swim and savor delicious tropical fruits in season, which are prepared and served by the guides. At the end of the trip on a raft, after three fantastic hours of fun, tourists can dry off and change their clothes and then enjoy a hot lunch in our facilities on the banks of the river. Afterwards we start the return by the same route, to arrive at La Fortuna around 3:30 p.m.
