ATV Pradera del Arenal

All our ATV tours are recreational oriented. Our goal is to offer a different outdoors option to know a little more about La Fortuna area by covering more terrain instead of walking and experiencing the fun of riding an ATV or Side by Side vehicle.

Our priority is your safety, providing at the same time lots of entertainment on wheels. It is for this reason that we make sure our riders don’t go at high speeds, maintaining the group at the rhythm of the slowest rider. At the end, it is all about having fun while contemplating the surrounding nature in the area.

Right before starting the tour, you will receive a short briefing or training about security and the vehicle operations. Your ATV or SxS adventure begins the moment you start your engine to follow our guides.

Our route will take the riders around places dedicated to agriculture or cattle activities in which it will be a delight to see its surrounding beauty along with the small communities reflecting the traditional rural country living.

This adventure departs from Hotel La Pradera, right on the base of Arenal Volcano heading towards a private cattle field across the hotel. Here you will do a little practice on the trails before deciding to continue. After, you will ride your ATV through fun trails with diverse conditions as rock bottom, gravel, dirt or muddy roads, bump tracks and pastures on the volcano base slopes. If weather allows favorable visibility conditions, we make a short stop to appreciate the spectacular view of La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano before we head to the Arenal river. We will pass by a tiny town called La Guaria to cross the river and stop for few minutes to relax, stretch a little, take some pictures, quench that thirst with a bottle of water or for those interested, jump in the water for a refresher river bath. To conclude this exciting tour, we return to Hotel La Pradera and have a delicious typical meal at their restaurant.

Without any doubt, this tour will explode your senses when riding and keeping control of our vehicles on the trails with beautiful natural surroundings and off course, always under the care of our experienced tour guides.

**The ATV tour ride is about 28 kilometers long, lasting approximately 2.5 hours.

**Take in consideration that weather patterns in rain forest regions as this, may affect the visibility of the Volcano and other sightseeing points due to cloudy conditions.

**Since we ride on dirt roads, gravel or mud; you may get dirty. In dry season there is a lot of dust and rainy season is very muddy with potholes which are very popular to ATV riders. We advise to bring comfortable clothing that you can get dirty.
