Full Day Cultural Tour Safari style with Horseback and Lunch by the River

Description
Discover the best things the Dominican Republic has to offer. The pick ups in Punta Cana start between 7:30 and 9:00 am depending on your hotel.
First stop will be at a typical Dominican Ranch (Rancho Papito) where you will have the chance to experience some horseback riding and visit a cigar shop, learning about the production and the making of local cigars.
After leaving the ranch you will pass through many different local villages and you will stop in front of an elementary school and learn a bit about the Dominican school system. (If the children are in class you don’t tour the school inside, otherwise yes).
After visiting the school, we’ll continue our way passing through long stretches of sugar cane plantations, while the guide explains all the working process and the final products that are made from that.
Now it’s time to move to Higuey where you will visit the local public market surrounded by endless new tastes, smells, sights, and sounds. Have your camera ready! The local market offers better prices than the classic supermarkets so for low-income families is the place to go to buy food, clothes, etc. Later you will approach the gorgeous Higüey Basilica. Devotees from every corner of the country flock this awe-inspiring shrine. Its splendor and elegant architecture will leave you breathless.
Afterwards, you will head to “El Salto de Anamuya” Ranch, in the Anamuya Mountain, where you will enjoy a typical Dominican lunch (buffet style) and relax in a refreshing river, close to it. Menu includes rice, pasta, beef, chicken, salad, other side dishes, fruit and coffee. After lunch, while enjoying your coffee, get down and be pleased with the beautiful views of the Anamuya river. Don´t miss the chance to take some beautiful photos!
In the afternoon you will first visit a coffee and cocoa plantation. The guides will teach you about history, culture and the fabrication process of these products. The plantation is simply great with so many different samples to try! Next you will start a tour inside a typical Dominican house, learn about when it was built and spend some time with the welcoming and modest family who lives there.
Last stop – Macao Beach! A visit to the Macao Beach is mandatory! Enjoy a spectacular view and relax in the sun before heading back to your hotel. You’ll stop at Macao beach for around 45 minutes. The tour guides will keep serving drinks. While there, you’ll be approached by local people offering to sell you anything (your picture with a monkey or iguana, hats, souvenirs, palm-leaf bowls and more), be comfortable with that. You can swim as well close to the shore (we recommend you to be already in your swimsuit, because there is no place to change).
This tour will take you on a memorable adventure to experience the people and life in the Dominican. If you’re looking to see how life is lived outside your country and have a day full of fun and a lifetime of memories this is one tour you don’t want to miss!!!
