Group Chocolate Experiences at York Cocoa Works

We invite you and your loved ones, friends or team to join us in our Cocoa Academy at York Cocoa Works and enjoy a chocolate moment away from the busy-ness of the city to learn something new and craft an indulgent treat you can take home and enjoy.

Our Chocolate Bar Making workshops are perfect for catering for a large group all with different tastes, while our Chocolate Truffle Workshop is perfect for getting together to craft something gorgeous with each other before packaging it up beautifully to take home. 

Create your unique program by incorporating a Chocolate Indulgence, Tour of the Chocolate Manufactory or curate your own chocolate gift experience for your group upon check out you can add a selection of refreshments and extras to your booking to create your own chocolate package.

Our Chocolate is all crafted in York by our team of Chocolate Makers from cocoa we source from around the world. During your visit you will be able to see our team at work and have an opportunity to taste for yourself how our chocolate is created.

Christmas Celebrations

Joining us this Christmas - we have a seasonal twist to share this Festive Season to create an extra special celebration. Discover our Christmas program of available activities HERE - select the date and time for your party and let us know you'd like a seasonal celebration. 

Chocolate Tour and Tasting Party

Learn how to become a professional chocolate taster with our Tutored Chocolate Tasting experience, your party will be introduced to a world of flavours in cocoa and chocolate.

£17.50 per participant - available for groups between 8 and 24 participants

Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes

Chocolate Bar Making Party

Enjoy our classic Chocolate Bar Making workshop to craft your own chocolate bar as a fabulous souvenir from York.

Guests will select their own choice of white, milk or dark chocolate before learning how to temper, add their own choice of seasonal flavours and decorations and craft their own chocolate creation.

Why not combine with our Manufactory Tour or enjoy refreshments while the chocolate sets.

£25 per participant - available for groups between 8 and 24 participants

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Chocolate Truffle Making Party

Chocolate truffles are best when they are freshly made and crafted by hand.

Discover the secrets of chocolate truffle making, working together to create your own box to take home with you.

Your own home made chocolate truffles will make a great present to share or of course you can just enjoy!

£50 per participant - available for groups between 8 and 20 participants

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

Chocolate Additions

Curate your own experience by adding in your choice of Hot Chocolates, Cocoa Fruit punch (non-alcoholic), Cake selection, Chocolate Lollipop Making or a special Chocolate Manufactory Tour. Select your additional items when making your deposit payment and our team will be in contact to make the full and final arrangements closer to the time. 

Special Dietary Requirements:

At York Cocoa Works looking after our chocolate loving guests is one of our most important priorities. We believe the chocolate industry should be open and transparent so our guests can make informed choices. We therefore want to ensure that we are able to cater for all of our visitors, whatever their needs. This workshop is accessible to most dietary requirements but we appreciate you sharing any details of specific needs that you or participants in your party have when booking.

To Book

To book please select your preferred date and time from our reservation calendar together with your preferred activity and make payment of your non-refundable deposit. A member of our team will come back to you to confirm your booking, you will receive an update from us approximately 3 weeks prior to your workshop requesting final numbers and special dietary requirements, any outstanding balances will be invoiced based upon your final numbers to be paid 2 weeks before your workshop.
