Arenal Volcano Naturalist Hike

This tour starts just 8 miles from the town of La Fortuna, El Silencio Reserve has 225 hectares of protected land that cover more than 100 hectares of primary forest.

Our experienced guides will provide you with interesting information on topics about volcano history, as well as geologic and volcanic processes and their impact on nearby ecosystems.

On the tour, you can see scenarios like a primary forest with giant trees and plants of different shapes and colors; streams, and grazing fields. A little higher the walk goes through old lava blocks over hills where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets and take awesome pictures capturing the view of the majestic Arenal Volcano and its Arenal Lake.
