Nazaré/Peniche/Óbidos Full-Day Tour

Description

Óbidos, an open-air museum, a medieval and romantic environment preserved over centuries with oriental influences and Baroque art, an authentic Fairy tale with only knights and princesses missing.

Peniche, full of remains dating back more than 180 million years, centuries of remarkable history and occupied by various populations since prehistoric times. Having as its basis the fishing industry and agriculture until today, it was also the bottom of the sea and today it is connected by an isthmus to the mainland, thus ceasing to be an island and becoming a peninsula. Starting with the Lower Jurassic, we find landmark fossils of this period, limestone cliffs or a volcanic breccia. You can visit the Churches and Chapels and the Bobbin Laces, which are a cultural heritage of unmissable reference.

In Nazaré we go to the town's waterfront to explain the symbolism of the 7 skirts and the fishing tradition. We will discover the Sanctuary of Nazaré and the Chapel of Memory.
