Description
Whale Watching & the Golden Circle
Trip difficulty: 1/5, easy.
Tour Highlights: Small Group Guarantee for the Golden Circle, Þingvellir National Park (Thingvellir), Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysir hot springs, Whale watching boat tour
The Golden Circle tour allows visitors to get in touch with some of Iceland’s most famous and exciting natural phenomena and the "must-see" spots when visiting the country. Our first stop is at the Thingvellir National Park, where Iceland’s first parliament was founded in the year 930 AD. From Þingvellir we head to the geothermal area around the Geysir hot spring. From there we continue on to Gullfoss, “the Golden waterfall”, where you can get really close and experience its full power first hand.
The whales you´ll get the chance to see on your tour most commonly include minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises and even the majestic humpback whales. A wide variety of seabirds can also be observed on this tour.
The boats have spacious and finely decorated public areas with huge windows and a café providing refreshments for your convenience. The extra larger viewing deck boasts a fantastic panoramic view and is a great place from which to capture the fantastic scenery around. Experience this photographer's delight for yourself!
