Doc Martin

Description
A trip down to Cornwall to visit the fictional home of England's most famous medical curmudgeon, Doc Martin.
We take the long route down, crossing one of Britain's Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dartmoor, home to Sherlock Holmes Hound of the Baskervilles. We will stop for lunch in the middle of the moor at the famous Two Bridges Hotel, before carrying on to arrive at Port Isaac early to mid afternoon.
After settling you into your hotel (either the Old School or Port Gaverne Hotel most likely) we will have time to explore a little before dinner, either at the Golden Lion or one of the attractive village restaurants serving mostly locally caught seafood dishes.
We can spend the evening watching sunset over the harbour from the balcony of the Golden Lion and perhaps chatting with locals and fellow visitors.
Next morning we will take a Doc Martin tour, often given by one of the locals who was an extra in the show. They will show us everywhere from the chemist to the surgery as well as exploring the rest of the locations that may be of interest.
Departing around lunchtime we then have the choice of coming home via the magnificent regency city of Bath or perhaps the very quaint village of Lacock with its unusual Abbey. Here we will stop off for lunch and a good look round before heading back to London.
All trips at Timescape are customisable so if you have another version of this journey you would like to explore just get in touch to discuss it.
