Ted Lasso -Thames Riverboat Picnic - Hampton Court

Description

Let's go down to Richmond and see the locations so beloved of Ted Lasso. The Paved Walk where Ted's delightful flat is, the Princes Head (which plays the Crown and Anchor in the show) Richmond Green home to the bench and phone box and many a 'kick about' as the English like to call a spontaneous game of football.

Then I put you on a classic Thames River Cruiser (quite possibly one the Dunkirk's 'little ships' and a historic vessel in its own right) and hand you a handmade picnic of the best ingredients, including individual  bottles fizz (or fruit juices if you prefer) organically sourced sandwiches and a delicious dessert. Enjoy the sight of the beautiful houses and fascinating islands along the river, including Eel Pie Island, party place of the Rolling Stones in the 60s.

We then meet you at Hampton Court, the jewel in Henry Vlll crown. The chance to see it in situ with the baroque palace of William and Mary, built some 150 years later offers a unique insight into a span of English History like no other.

As well as the magnificent architecture, the grounds and gardens of Hampton Court are world famous, from the maze to the huge grape vine, the long avenue of topiaried Yews leading down the river and the beautiful boat house, it sometimes seems as if Hampton Court has more to offer than all of England’s other palaces put together.

At the end of the day you are delivered home to your hotel in the same luxury car that picked you up in the morning.
