Ice Cave & Glacier Lagoon Experience

We start day one by leaving Reykjavík on our modified 38 inch Arctic Trucks and head to the south coast. On our way along the south shore we will visit beautiful scenery and interesting places, including the beautiful waterfall Seljalandsfoss - the waterfall that you can walk behind. From there we will drive towards the Valley of Thor and visit Gígjökull, an outlet glacier of Eyjafjallajökull glacier. We visit the awestrucking black-sand beach Reynisfjara and absorb the breath-taking beauty of the beach, ocean and the natural formed basalt-columns! We continue our drive and our next stop will be at Skaftafell nature reserve, where we enjoy the amazing view of beautiful nature and glacier-outlets! We accommodate and dine in a nearby cottage where you can have private sleeping facillities and made up beds. If weather conditions are good, this is a great place to see the Northern lights dance their mesmerizing dance in the evening sky! We will use the second day to explore Vatnajökull, one of Europe‘s biggest glacier, both inside and out! First stop is the famous Jökulsárlón – Glacier lagoon, a majestic lagoon filled with huge icebergs at the roots of one of the glacier‘s outlet. If you are lucky you might see some seals enjoying their afternoon-nap on a iceberg. After getting to know the glacier‘s surface and surroundings, it‘s time to see the inside of it! We get off the main road and use the powerfull Arctic Truck to cross a challenging lunar landscape. We will drive as close to the Ice-cave as we can where we will meet our glacier expert. He will lead us through the once in a lifetime experience, where you will explore the wonders of the Ice-cave. The blue colors of the cave are just amazing and this experience will leave no one untouched. In the afternoon it‘s time to head back to Reykjavík city with a stop at the beautiful Skógarfoss waterfall. If time and conditions allow, the guide will find some more mountain tracks for us to test the power of the Super Truck!
