Explore Los Haitises: Adventure and natural beauty

For this adventure, we will meet you at your hotel and then take you to the magical place where we will carry out all the activities: The Los Haitises National Park. 

Once we have arrived and everyone is ready, we will collect the kayaks and head to Las Almejas beach, where the natural pools are located. 

During the journey, we will enjoy the mangrove forest and the shelter of San Lorenzo Bay. Your accompanying guide will talk to you about the history of Los Haitises, the geography, and the species of mangroves that exist around. 

When we arrive at the beach, you will need to put on your swimsuit to get into the kayak and then paddle to the Cueva de la Línea, where the rest of the staff will be waiting for you. 

In this part of the trip, you will be able to explore the Old Port of Las Perlas, one of the first structures built by Europeans in the area, around 1866. 

The cave you will visit features over 1,200 pictographs painted by the Taínos, the ancient inhabitants of the Caribbean islands. 

After visiting the cave, we will return to Las Almejas beach to have a snack and swim in its spectacular waters. 

We will continue the journey through the mangroves and stop at the open area of San Lorenzo Bay in Sabana de Mar. From there, you can photograph and admire the rugged forested landscape and observe manatees, crustaceans, and dolphins in the water. 

The name of the national park comes from its original inhabitants, the Taíno Indians. In their language, "Haitises" translates to high lands or hills, referring to the rugged limestone geological formations along the coast. 

When this part of the adventure comes to an end, we will head to Montaña Redonda in Miches, an unforgettable place surrounded by rural nature. 

You will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view where the reflections with the lagoons combine with the sunrise at the beach and the sunset with the greenery of the mountains. 

The fresh air and the singing of the birds will fill you with a sense of tranquility that will make you end the day in a fantastic way. You cannot miss it!
