ANCIENT TURKU Aboa Vetus, the sole archaeological museum in Finland, is an underground discovery encompassing a historic town district. The archaeological site at Aboa Vetus comprises the remnants of medieval houses. The Convent Riverfront, which was a prominent street in medieval Turku, still traverses the museum's vicinity to this day.
CONTEMPORARY ART The Aboa Vetus Ars Nova Foundation Art Collection is a diverse compilation of pieces from the recent history of Finnish and other Western art. The collection's earliest artworks date back to the late 19th century, with a particular focus on pieces created from the 1950s to the present day.
