Let the coastal cities of Southwest Finland tell you their story.
This gentle journey connects two of Finland’s most enchanting historical towns – Turku and Naantali – each with their own rhythm, but both shaped by the sea and centuries of Nordic life.
We begin in Turku, Finland’s oldest city and former capital. As we drive through its heart, you’ll hear stories of its 800-year history – from medieval roots to a vibrant present of universities, innovation, and culture. A stop at Turku Cathedral, the country’s only medieval basilica, offers a moment to step inside living history.
We then head west – just a short 20-minute drive – to the storybook town of Naantali, founded around a 15th-century Brigittine convent that still defines its skyline. Walking through its idyllic Old Town feels like stepping into a painting: cobbled lanes, seaside wooden houses, and timeless charm.
After a peaceful seaside stroll and a glimpse into Naantali’s soul, we return to Turku with a fuller sense of Southwest Finland’s cultural richness.
